Beast Holds Maiden Captive

In his enchanted castle a menacing beast is holding a fair maiden captive as his personal slave.

Mr. Maurice lives with his beautiful young daughter, Belle, in a small cottage in the countryside. He is an inventor of labor-saving devices, his latest invention a self-propelled, wood-chopping machine. Last Friday, an inventor’s fair was held at the town of Bethel and Maurice took off to compete with his new invention. However, he never made it.

Lost in the forest, Maurice tried to find his way back but instead he found a big iron gate in front of a haunted castle. Beseeching help, the poor old man went inside the castle, but found himself a prisoner in a dark, cold cellar.

Belle, back at home, was worried about her father and went to search for him. She found both her sick father in the castle locked up in a jail...and the beast which kept him captive. Belle plead the threatening creature to let her father go in return for her staying there with the beast.

No one knows much about this beast and his hidden castle. How he has been hiding this whole time is a mystery. “He’s a monster!” says Maurice, “A monster over ten feet tall with huge white teeth and sharp claws! He must weigh over a ton!”

It’s a "done deal" and Belle is now trapped in the claws of this malicious beast. What will be done, no one knows.
